After a few days' break, during which I fully immersed myself in my illustrations again, I found myself drawn back to yarn and crochet hook.
This time, I wanted to give my bookmark another chance.
I simply tried a smaller crochet hook – and I wouldn't have believed what a big difference that would make.
Suddenly, the pattern was much clearer. The little arrows finally came into their own, and somehow it was also easier for me to count the stitches. Maybe I'm slowly becoming more confident. Maybe it was because of the smaller hook. Probably both.
It's a nice feeling to see your own progress so clearly.
A few weeks ago, I didn't even know how to make a magic ring. Today, I'm trying out different hook sizes and noticing how I'm slowly developing a feel for yarn, tension, and patterns.
And the best part?
I now catch myself constantly thinking about what I could crochet next.
I think that's how you know a small attempt is slowly turning into a real hobby. 💛
